Windows Surface Pro

  1. Press and hold the Volume-up button and the Power button on your Surface at the same time for 15 seconds and then release both of them.
  2. The screen may flash the Surface logo, but remember to continue holding down the buttons for 15 seconds.

Windows Tablet

  1. With the app that you want to close open, tap your finger and hold, on the top side of the screen.
  2. With the finger still pressed on the screen, drag the app window downwards.
  3. You will notice the app turning into a thumbnail. Keep dragging it downwards, to the bottom of the screen.
